Z-flex 76 longboard
The Z flex 76 longboard is the perfect board for anyone looking for a cruiser or carving board, especially for beginners. In fact, I was surprised, with the board being so cheap I expected the components that came with it to be pretty cheap too, but for only $100 these things really haul balls. So not only do these boards shred, but it comes in a variety of colors, and unless you're throwing this board under cars or paddling it through rivers, it's definitely going to hold up until you've completely decked it out with new bearings, wheels, and trucks, and then some. Once you get a set up you're comfortable with then you can swap it out with a new board, or if you don't like the board you can get a new one and have an awesome set of components that are going to last you until you want something new. These are easily one of the best beginner boards on the market.
Beginners, look here!
These new Z-flex 76 longboards that we've gotten in recently are pure gold for new riders. While the components certainly don't compare with a more advanced setup they're great for finding the style of riding you want to get into so you're not wasting money on a setup that you're not interested in later down the road. Another awesome thing, is that while these components are going to last the life of the board, will give you something to work with when you're wanting to upgrade your trucks, wheels, and bearings. I feel at least in skating, starting from the bottom and working your way up as time goes on makes you more appreciative and more aware of how all of these parts function. This again, leads to less money spent from getting something that doesn't compliment your riding style later down the road. Although they're generic looking (which is kind of a bummer) there's really no better place to start, except with of course a $300 board that you may or may not even want.
